Submission of works based on endangered wildlife from February 1st to March 10th
The National Institute of Ecology (President Do-soon Jo) under the Ministry of Environment will hold the 5th Endangered Wildlife Imagination Contest (hereinafter referred to as the Contest).
The Endangered Wildlife Imagination Picture Contest, which marks its 5th anniversary this year, is planned to conserve endangered wildlife and spread ecological values in Korea.
The 5th contest will be conducted by accepting hand drawings imagining domestic endangered wildlife designated by the Ministry of Environment on the contest website. The work submission period is from February 1st to March 10th, and any elementary school student or out-of-school child of the same age from 7 to 12 years old can participate.
The contest category consists of four categories: mammals, birds, amphibians/reptiles/fish/invertebrates, and insects/plants, and only one entry per person per category can be submitted.
A total of 33 works are selected, including the △Grand Prize (Minister of Environment Award, 1 piece) △Best Award (National Institute of Ecology Director Award, 1 piece for each category) △Excellence Award and Encouragement Award through screening by art experts. The winners will also be given small prizes such as grand prize of 500,000 won and grand prize of 200,000 won. The award ceremony will be held at the Seoul Grand Park Zoo on March 31st as part of the commemorative event for the 3rd Endangered Species Day.
