Heyo Media publishes the 30-year history of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam

Koreans in Vietnam, era of pioneering and harmony

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Korea-Vietnam diplomatic ties, Heoyo Media has published “The 30-Year History of Korea-Vietnam Diplomatic Relations,” which accurately records the dynamic development of the Korean community in Vietnam.

Published in time for the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Vietnam, the 30-year history of diplomatic ties between Korea and Vietnam is a record of history and a testimony of the times. The 30-year history of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam, built by the Korean Association in Hanoi, Vietnam, reflects the path of Vietnamese Koreans for 30 years, while reflecting the future development of Korean society and Korean companies.

Today, Vietnam is a land of opportunity for Koreans, where exchanges flourish not only in politics and economy, but also in the fields of culture, sports and religion. The Korean community in Vietnam has continued to grow since the establishment of diplomatic relations and has now reached a scale of 150,000. They overcame the foreign exchange crisis and COVID-19 with their unique will of Koreans. My Dinh and Trung Hwa streets, which are the Korean-populated areas in Hanoi, are again full of vitality with Koreans. Thanks to this, another drama, Overcoming the Pandemic, has been added to the history of Koreans in Vietnam.

Today, Korea and Vietnam are building friendship and trust in various fields as comprehensive strategic cooperation partners. In particular, cooperation and development in the economic field stand out. South Korea is Vietnam's third largest trading partner, accounting for 31 percent of Vietnam's exports. Investment in Vietnam exceeded $70 billion. As a result, the status of the Korean community and Korean companies is increasing day by day.

This book is a history directly written by Koreans who have pioneered and united in Vietnam, so it is more truthful and persuasive than any claims made by those far away. When I read the book, I bow my head to the passion and courage of Koreans who overcame all kinds of difficulties and built a huge community in a faraway foreign land.
